Like any other project, we started with a site audit. We look at keyword rankings, traffic, links, anchor text, and more.

 

This site was almost 9 years old but had only 50 pages. It had no previous penalties and was receiving only 69 monthly SEO traffic. 

Finding Quick Wins

We did a SWOT analysis and sorted out more than 50 competitors. We found strategies on what they were doing and how they were making money with SEO.

 

We discovered that nearly 9 or 10 competitors were very active with SEO and were publishing more than 2 blogs per week.

 

We also listed our product categories and did category-based research to determine which category had more potential and in which category we were rich. This way, we selected our resources for quick wins.

SEO Strategy That Delivered Results

Looking at Competitors:
We researched our competitors and the competitive gap analysis helped us find the keywords that our competitors were currently ranking for that we were not. These keywords were great ideas for creating new content and helped us differentiate from the competition.

 

KGR Keyword Research:
We tried to find long-term, easy-to-rank keywords to start. We allowed KGR scores below 0.75.

 

SEO Funnel:
We made all keywords in 3 groups: top of the funnel, bottom of funnel, and bottom of the funnel keywords according to people’s search intentions. We primarily focused on working with top of the funnel keywords.

 

Great Value Content:
We believe in content value. We gave our best effort to design content layouts as if we could cover the search intent or the topics in-depth and give our writers perfect instructions and resources to make high-value content.

 

Manage Consistency and Regularity:
Regular and consistent posting on the blog is a hidden secret in SEO. We made a post scheduler and followed that scheduler to manage consistency and regularity.

 

Monthly Link Building:
We didn’t invest cash money to build SEO links, but we did a very small number of foundation SEO links every month.

SEO Results

Organic traffic increased by 490% from 69 to 5’300 monthly within only 7 months, referring domains increased from 900 to 1500, and backlinks decreased because we removed some spammy backlinks.

 

Convert traffic into money:
We applied inbound marketing methodology to convert SEO traffic into leads. We were getting nearly 100 leads every month from organic traffic.
