Our goal was to generate new leads and have the sales team be able to follow up with the prospect while they’re looking for solar installation.

 

Before this client started using our service they had used another agency to run ads but it hadn’t worked out as well as they hoped.

 

When we audited their account, we saw that they were giving it a good shot – they spent over $5,644.00 in paid ads in a little over a year.

 

They spent thousands of dollars on past agencies that, from what our client told us, “really didn’t move the needle much” for their business as they got only 10 leads, but $559.00 for each.

Uncovering The Real Hidden Pockets of Competitors

We started with competitor research. We collected more than 600 competitors list, researched their business model, what are the values that were making the difference between successful and unsuccessful campaigners.

 

We sorted out 75 competitors that were doing PPC campaigns among them 15 competitors were actively competing to keep top possession of SERP, really they were doing extremely well in PPC advertising like they were making campaigns on Google Ads for more than 3 years.

 

We uncover their hidden pockets and how they are making money from Google Ads. Then we have easily figured out exactly what will work there, and what won’t.

Starting Fresh With New Search Campaigns

We planned 3 search campaigns from scratch. What we did, actually we first filtered awareness level keywords and high buying intent conversion level keywords.

 

We made 3 ad groups using all the conversion level high buying intent keywords.

 

Cost Intent: We made an ad group with those keywords people were using in solar panel cost related search terms. Such as “6.6kw solar panel cost”

Incentives Intent: It needs to mention, In Australia, the governments of different states, even the federal government are giving rebate & incentives while people are buying solar panels to encourage use of renewable energy. So, we made an ad group with those keywords people were using to find that solar rebate & incentives. Such as “Victoria solar panel rebate”

 

Product Intent: We made another ad group with those keywords people were using to find kind of solar products. Such as “LG solar panel” “Fronius solar inverter” etc

 

Then started from fresh with 3 new search campaigns with that 3 ad groups, well crafted ad copy and high converting landing page separately for every ad group.

The Results

After setting up proper tracking, creating new campaigns, writing new ad copy, and creating custom landing pages, we turned on the campaign…

…and the leads started pouring in!
